Meet Suzette Luyken: Advocate for Change and Founding Member of Legalise Cannabis Queensland

Suzette Luyken is a passionate advocate and founding member of the Legalise Cannabis Queensland Party, working tirelessly to bring the change Australians want to see. As the party’s secretary, Suzette is dedicated to dismantling outdated laws and challenging policies that unfairly target cannabis users—especially around issues like roadside THC testing, which can penalise individuals without evidence of impairment.

Currently, the formal cannabis delivery system is costly, restrictive, and often excludes people who need it most. Being able to grow our own cannabis offers a solution to this problem, making cannabis accessible and affordable for everyone who relies on it for wellness, pain management, and personal use.

Growing cannabis at home also provides people with the freedom to know exactly what they’re consuming. Individuals can ensure their cannabis is grown organically, without pesticides or additives, giving them confidence in the quality and purity of their medicine.

Through her campaigns, Suzette aims to keep cannabis reform in the spotlight, pushing for policies that reflect fairness, accessibility, and justice for all Australians.
